We are the owners, designers and creators of our little handmade online store Glass Obsessions! We are so many things - accountant, marketer, financial adviser, sales assistant, manufacturer, designer, project manager, social media consultant, and much much more! But who are we really? We are Kim and Renee - Mother and daughter. Let's start with Kim.
Kim is mother of two, sister of two, a wife and the talent of Glass Obsessions. Kim came from a very creative family, giving her the skills to be anything. Her childhood aspiration was to become a fashion designer and she has a great flair for current trends and design. Kim started work as a machinist developing her sewing skills, and began making and modelling her own clothes. This planted the seed of self employment.
It wasn't until Kim had a couple of young ones that the seed began to grow into a young plant and she began selling her creations. Starting at markets, Kim began selling everything from retro painted furniture to handmade curtains until she finally began learning stained glass. From here her flower began to blossom with her knack for glass creations. Kim became quite successful at markets and started supplying shops.
As time went on Kim ventured out and learnt the new skill of glass fusing. Shortly after she began casual leasing in shopping centres and had built a quietly and comfortably successful business for herself. After 10 years in business and 20 years creating Kim expanded the business with the help of her oldest daughter Renee to create Glass Obsessions.

Apart from being a business woman Kim is a bit of a rev head. In her spare time, when she is not creating, she likes to keep up to date with all the latest in motorsports and tennis. Now that the kiddies are all grown up, Kim wants to travel. Having travelled part of the world already, Kim is always itching to get out there and experience culture and diversity. In the meantime, Kim enjoys soaking up the sunshine in tropical north QLD (Australia), spending time with her family, focusing on fitness, and maintaining a healthy work life balance.
