The beginning!

I am new to this so I guess I will just start at the beginning. I had just finished a university degree in science, after doing some work here and there I decided it wasn't for me after all. Shortly after my mum had asked if I want to help her with her small glass gifts business, I agreed and then I was hooked! I grew up watching my mum run her own small business and it looked exciting, but once you start working for yourself there is no going back. Nothing compares! It's exciting, thrilling, you do what you want when you want, you are your own boss. Sky is the limit and it is bliss. But at the same time it is also challenging, heartbreaking, time consuming and stressful. Four years later and we are still hanging in there. A lot has happened during these last four years that could have broken us (the delay of the global financial crisis, change of government, low consumer spending, online shopping, social media, increasing casual leasing rates - just to name a few) but we are still standing! It has been an endless struggle to keep up with the forever changing retail industry but we try to adapt (sometimes not fast enough but we do try). We believe in our products, we enjoy designing and creating and so we soldier on!
