Who are we? Part 2

So now that we know Kim, lets get to know Renee.

Renee is the oldest daughter of Kim. She has been apart of Glass Obsessions for 4 years now. Prior to taking on the business, Renee graduated from university with a degree in Environmental Management. Renee had always imagined pursuing a career in the field of science. After graduating she undertook a variety of work placements using her degree in mining, research, consulting and government sectors. As time went on Renee couldn't seem to find her footing in the science industry and decided to take her mum up on her offer to help expand Glass Obsessions. Renee has not looked back since. Many people can not understand the choice to give up a successful career and a healthy wage for a life of uncertainty and unpredictable salaries - to which business often brings. But it is the challenge and job satisfaction that won Renee's heart. 

Renee has been gifted with artistic flair and crafting skills from her parents and enjoys creating. Having different taste to her mother, combined they make a great team and bring a variety of ideas to the business. Renee has a keen interest in the natural and homemade aspects of home decor. She believes in eco-friendly and sustainable products.  

Apart from trying to establish a career for herself, Renee loves to travel! She has been lucky enough to visit much of the world already and hopes to continue travelling as often as possible. Renee also loves the great outdoors and enjoys activities like hiking, camping, swimming, fishing, cycling, kayaking etc.

Renee and her partner spent a lot of time moving around the country trying to find a place right for them. They have finally decided to settle, have just bought their first house and are getting married in May. Planting some roots, Renee and her partner plan to stay put for awhile, renovate their new home, grow their own fruit and veggies, relax by the pool and enjoy a happy life with their dog Tyson (while still creating of course!).
